Mario..... rehasing the same 2D gimmicks while reducing the difficulty at the same time. Galaxy was piff though.

i understand why people gush over it, art style was great. The actual music that plays sparsely was top tier also.

The cooking and weapon breaks took me out of it though. When I start dumping my switch games I’ll try it on that switch emulator.

Ill admit, the last couple of years of the OG Wii's lifespan was rather rough. Back when the XBox 360 was controlling the narrative of gaming through online 1st person shooters and lack of solo player games. People were obsessed with DLC and trolling online tournaments. Nintendo was in a creative rut when they dropped Skyward Sword that turned off a lot of fans of old Zelda games. Miyamoto knew then that he had to totally reshape the franchise, and how gaming is going.

He went to work, and made BotW into the living masterpiece that it is. Now a lot of Nintendo haters are quiet as church mice when discussing this topic.
