I would hope the front office is looking at the big picture with lavine and not just into trading him based on feelings or some idea he would make everyone feel bad lol
Not saying we should get a kings ransom, but a couple of young promising pieces that can grow with coby and a couple of picks should be the bare minimum of what we accept as a return for him. If we can't at least get that, sit on lavine until we can, even if it means sitting on lavine until the off season.

What exactly is the risk of holding him until the off season? Are you still with this idea he is injury prone he been realitively healthy these past few years and has played through injuries and if it wasn't for the trade request he would playing now.
Bulls need to get the absolute best deal. Not just ship him off help another team out and settle for less due to some idea he injury prone or he will make the team depressed. He locked in for the next 4 years regardless so we either get a good deal for him or make him get back in the fold understanding coby is now the 1st option deal with it or come off the bench as a 6th man. But we don't ship him for deals that can't help us just to do it. And if we can't get that done by the deadline then so be it.
The Bulls have played way better without Lavine in the lineup. Coby White has got something good going.
Talking about him coming off the bench and being a 6 man tells me you’re not thinking about this logically. Take the emotion out of it and realize it’s over. His contract is a negative asset and any relief you get from it will be a positive.

I am thinking of it logically. It's simply some teams that want us to think as you do, and accept trash in return out of the idea lavine is some washed up asset. Which isn't true. He is not injury prone and he is a all star caliber player. And if we want any shot of a decent future based on the decisions we made trying to build around him, we need to make sure we make the absolute best deals going forward not get bottleneck3d into some mediocre return out of some idea lavine is just a bad contract or he will make the team depressed. That would be the emotional response.
So if the market can't get us a decent deal now, sit on him wait til the market changes a bit. Maybe another disgruntled star arises, maybe we continue to improve and a star wants to join us and we can use lavine to make it happen. Who knows. But the emotional move would be accepting some thought that he is just dead weight so just dump him. That does no good for us.
