Reaves is more valuable than Lavine.
Like I've been saying... the devaluing of LaVine is a complete joke. If he wasn't worth more that Reaves, then why the fukk have Lakers fans been clamoring for him for the last 3 season?

Rewind to last season. Post All-Star Break, LaVine's numbers...
27PPG | 3.5REB | 4.7AST while shooting 53.2% from 2, 39.4% from 3 and 88% from the FT line

So AGAIN, unless Chicago thinks Zach is WASHED and not capable of being very close to a 50/40/90 efficient scorer anymore, they aren't going to just trade him because the Lakers want him and NOT get whoever the fukk they want from them. This is a clear situation where a player isn't happy and disgruntled and not playing well. That has to be in consideration when talking about this trade.

The bullshyt I'm reading from misc. fans across the league about Zach not worth it for a Pistons package, or Austin fukking Reaves is a joke. I saw a comment on the Athletic's NBA podcast where they said, Orlando wouldn't want to give up a Gary Harris package and a pick for LaVine

:dead:

Let's come back to REALITY. I'll wait and see what he's dealt for and continue to laugh at the trash offers seeing spewed on the net in the meantime.

I agree on paper Zach is a good player but 2 things:

1. contract
2. The Bulls are better without him.

Contract comes into play when discussing value. Lavine is unquestionably more talented than Reaves, but he makes $40 million this season while Reaves makes $12. Reaves can plug and play anywhere, has A+ chemistry with LeBron and can easily be moved moneywise.

Lavine is gonna take three contracts to match in a trade and hasn't had an affect on winning and losing for the money he is making. Caruso is more valuable as a trade piece than Lavine.

The same way Jaylen Brown is a better player than Reaves in a vacuum, but I wouldn't even consider a straight swap for Brown (if it was possible) because of how much Brown is making going forward.

If the Bulls can't even pry reaves and rui from the Lakers and at least ivey from the pistons then it's best to just sit on lavine until the market changes. Wait until another disgruntled star becomes available etc.

Based on the position the bulls are in they can't afford to dump guys for mediocre packages. Not saying they need to rob someone but something nice with potential players and picks need to be the bare minimum return. If not, keep lavine force him to get in line with how we playing now or ride the bench and wait til we can get a deal all sides can be happy with.

They can hold him the remainder of his contract then. :yeshrug:

Chicago dangled him during the summer and no one bit. Now, he's disgruntled, playing poorly and his team looks better without him.

Harden and Lillard are better players with track records of winning and neither got a king's ransom in return. Lavine's value is even lower than those guys. Probably only worth a Bradley Beal type return at this point.

Harden was an expiring so a kings ransom was never going to happen and in Dame's case both age and contract were working against Portland.

In Lavines case either, he's going to have to come back and rehab his value or Chicago better hope there's a team out there a la like Phoenix did with Beal that would be willing to take on his contract if they think he's a missing piece for them.

At this point, Chicago should just be trying to offload that contract before it ages it even worse with his knees.

Cleveland will soon have a decision to make on Mitchell. It'll be hilarious if AKME flips Zach for Mitchell and Laker fans talking about they won't give up Reaves in a deal.

:mjlol:

That's the direction I'd take tho. Just wait for someone to become available and move Zach for them or he could just come back and buy in. He won't be the first star player that rescinded a trade request.

Bruh.... YOU'RE the one who's been spewing the bullshyt propaganda about how scrub ass midget Coby White is actually better than him for WEEKS now; no one's been "devaluing Lavine" more on here than you buddy. :dead: Dumb ass Bulls fans cry about Lavine's effort/defense/ability to win playoff games for 3+ years straight, bench him and go on a winning streak with a backup/bust in his place in the lineup... and think that they're entitled to a superstar haul when they finally admit to themselves he's overrated and make him available in trade. Y'all are getting nothing but salary filler and some heavily protected/far out 1st rounders from a team that won't be in the lottery; not Reaves, most CERTAINLY not an actual all-star, all-nba player like Donovan Mitchell for him. Stop the cap, stop the COPE, the deluded essays, and the whining and accept it. :heh::umad:

Whats hilarious bout it? Thats probably the trade Chicago should do. It aint got nothin to do with the Lakers tho. We don't have a disgruntled guard who's getting paid 30+ million to trade for Levine. The Lakers would trade Reaves for Levine in a heartbeat...but then we would probably have to include 1 or 2 other very good players...like Rui and/or Dlo...then it wouldn't be worth it for the Lakers. Its simple logic...not the Lakers trying to give you trash for treasure.
