They basically talked about how the US doesn't provide the economic opportunity for the average black to be able to just up and start a business that needs over $100k startup capital.
How the US political system created this environment, and how they need to be the ones to fix it and not us individually (hence Claude losing $700k of black money on fish.)
I'm just going to start by saying that I think Claude Anderson is up to shenanigans with that loan.
I doubt Yvette even has a stable job so I'm sure her finances are fukked up too but she has a ready made excuse for going from a congressional staffer to doing videos from an undisclosed location begging for donations.
So if Anderson agrees with Yvette and ToneTalks that reparations are owed to Black people, and he's actually taking concrete steps to make it come about (more than she's done) ... Is Yvette trying to discredit him just because he's rocking with Boyce? What's her motivation for calling him out now?
Why can't people take a "Yes and..." approach to remediating conditions in the Black community? By that I mean why can't people advocate for reparations and group economics? Direct government involvement and higher education? It seems like if you don't think exactly how Yvette thinks (even if you agree on 80% of issues) she's going to look for something to discredit you.
So if, Claude Anderson was trying to scam a black owned bank that is legitimate information to consider when evaluating his message but Yvette's motivation for discussing it should be considered as well.
