Just finished listening in. They really didn't "go in." They just said Powernomics was written from a flawed viewpoint, which I agree.

Yvette's business POV is a bit flawed as well, but it seems she focuses more on SBA traditional business definitions than the new internet based economy. Overall a pretty good show, would like to see her come around on non-traditional businesses in the "black community" though.

But most people who have a basic understanding of how business is done in America know that starting a business is going to have some type of government handout. And the fact is that not enough black people hire black people, not enough black people shop at black businesses, and not enough black people bank black. So gov't help and powernomics are not mutually exclusive and they can be done in parallel or tandem.

It’s a claim.

Of course there are no stats for how many time a dollar touches black peoples hands down to a science. But you can just look at the avg black community and draw your own conclusions.

We don’t own shyt that we spend our money at. So how many times does the black dollar circulate before whites or others get to it?

That saying is not based on any fact and it's something people constantly say. There is no "black dollar" when we have to buy EVERYTHING from other communities. I just posted an article on how Koreans used international politics to steal their position in the black hair care market--they didn't just "work hard" and "circulate their dollar."
