Free agency was underwhelming but what else could they realistically do with the players available? They got a solid starter with Fournier and Rose was our arguably most important player after Randle. If we overpaid for someone slightly better they were not going to win us a championship next season either.:manny:

I can accept that. Its just how do you not get an established PG to keep that afloat?

I am not going to go too far in on all of this because the Knicks didn’t do bad overall. They did better than a lot of teams in both the draft and FA.

It’s just stinks of them thinking last year was a better result than it really was. I saw the playoffs and thought it was a sign of them overproducing as a roster, and the Knicks FO saw that playoff series and it seems like they think they underperformed.

Someone else used the term Hubris first and yeah that is my take.
Basically we just upgraded from Bullock to Fournier so we'll need our current pieces to improve and Rose to stay healthy.

We'll need RJ to take another step this year, I doubt he can have as big of an improvement as he did last offseason though :manny:

Need Randle to figure out how to go right :beli:

Need IQ to actually be able to make those floaters he throws up.

Need Obi to do something this year :hubie:

Need Knox to have a heart transplant :unimpressed:

with fornier where does this put RJ?:ohhh:

The 3rd - 4th option at best?:francis:

For a top 2 pick! :martin:

He might as well come off the bench so he can contribute more and maximize his minutes :yeshrug:
What are you talking about ? This seems to say that randle and rj will be initiating the offense more

I just deleted a long rant so I don't look like a psycho.

2 1st round picks and 50 mil in capspace and the best we can do is replace Reggie Bullock after the shytshow of a playoffs we had and crowd the positions we drafted at. Incredible.

Looking forward to being a 4th-6th seed and 2nd round out at best the next 3 years at the expense of taking any risks and being led by Julius Randle.

As long as we're respectable now. Right?

I don't get the media shytting on us like this is a typical "lul Knicks" off-season? This was fine, these are all movable contracts, we still have plenty of flexibility for 2022/a big trade, this is the market. There weren't PG's available, the money HAD to get spent, someone HAD to get paid, we paid solid players their value, I just don't get the reaction other than people thinking we a joke when it's clear Leon and Co know what they're doing.

Like come on you can't shyt on the Fournier deal and then praise the THJ deal like I been seeing on twitter that's just some nonsense.

Y'all vastly underestimate how random winning in the NBA is and how hard it is to sustain that or accomplish it.

2 late first rounders and 50 Mil in "capspace" with a roster of 6 dudes under contract in a year where the best free agent was fukkin Lonzo is not real, it's a mirage, so yes, I'd much rather be respectable and win some series and maybe have a chance later on to make a move or 2 and have a chance rather than not.

Ain't no 'windows' in the NBA, things change incredibly quickly and the Knicks have shown they're willing to spend money and move and groove. Would you rather be the Magic or the Sixers or the Thunder, the Thunder and Rockets are doing the shyt the Sixers did and the Sixers have now totally topped out in the East with Embiid maybe having another 2 years on that knee.

Yes, I'd rather this team be solid and entertaining to watch and win more games than they lose and make the playoffs than suck, treadmill while sucking, and then still be nowhere or at best be RIGHT BACK HERE WHERE WE AT RIGHT NOW.

I'm tired of being the worst team in the league man.

Ok then why didn’t they get another PG?

Thibs is a fukking maniac to get wins right, so he is going to ride his starters, and you’re whole concept means the Knicks are relying on Derrick Rose playing 30+ Minutes a night for 82 games and the playoffs at a high level on a 3 year deal.

:stopitslime:
shyt don’t make sense and saying “they will make a trade” is like saying they will sign a PG. They don’t.

If you're happy, the fukk you quoting me for nikka? Be happy being a 6th seed lock the next 3 years. That's exactly what those superstars we're out here shaking our asses for are looking for. Teams that can sustain being a 6th seed. Be happy nikka. :yeshrug:
