It's hard to say because RJ and Randle were so atrocious that it's hard to estimate what would've happened. If Rose didn't start we could've been down 15 in the first 6 minutes with Elfrid, RJ and Randle out there.

Only reason it can be seen as a bad decision is because coaching staff did no preparation at all. One hour before the game Thibs was still saying they haven't made a decision. So no wonder rotations were garbage.

Decision was basically let's start Rose and then hope Burks drops 30.

The problem is that in game 1 Burks had a great game and so it could've been the difference between a win and a loss. In Game 2 Bullock and Randle showed up in the second half. In Game 3, nobody showed up but Rose offensively. Thank God for Noel's (and Randle's) ability to get to the line or this would've been a really bad loss
