ima rap encyclopedia...

if im not mistaken it may have been a tape called Hev. E Components... not 100% on that, but anyway but Joe had two freestyles on there one where he rapped with Fab over the "1,2 Free is coming for youuuu" Freeway beat... (forgot all about that song lol), and another one where he rap's over "Let's Get It" by GDEP. On the tracklisting, the G Dep freestyle said "Joe Buddens - Freestyle (Rasheed Wallace)"

Rasheed Wallace had did a drop for Clue some basic "Yo this Rasheed Wallace of the Portland Trailblazers blah blah blah" shyt. That Drop was right ahead of the Joe Buddens freestyle and the beginning of the side B if you had the cassette. But you know how mixtapes was back then, they had all types of typos and shyt. So on the CD the Rasheed Wallace Drop was on the same Track as the Buddens freestyle. And the Credit reflected that... So it led people to believe that Joe Buddens was Rasheed Wallace rap name and he was embarking on a rap career. nikkas eventually figured it out once "Pump It Up" dropped.

:dead: @ me imaginaning Rasheed Wallace trying to do the pump it up flow.
EDIT:
Also with droog knowing these random old references he drops in his joints. He may have known about this and thought like "shyt worked for Budden (relatively) I'ma try that too" :manny:

gotta feel safe in the mansion, dig
especially when they come thru for ya man shindig

Nas is Nas....but droog is def wittier....shyt u can read the article and dude would rather compare himself to big L and G rap instead of Nas because of his love for punchlines.....dude had some crazy bars on the EP....and i love how he throws in those punchlines without using a "punchline flow"...those bars just mesh and flow perfectly with the shyt he's saying without coming off like he's trying too hard...

damn shame he was born with similar vocals to esco because it's gonna plague his career just like action bronson and ghostface....but if he does what bronson does and carve his own lane while putting out crack like he's been doing he'll be fine....

we need a droog and elzhi record
Doesn't change much for me.

Some of you random guys who never even were interested in Droog are coming in here posting cry-baby "cac" shyt need to quit it

Or what? If you like him than support him. Don't worry about anybody else.

Something still doesnt add up about this. Like how did he get on all these major sites, all of them being involved asking is it Nas alter ego.

:beli: @ what I thought was gonna happen once it was proven he wasnt Nas has:

1) Half of y'all are dimissing the kid now and calling him a biter and suddenly the shyt you thought was dope wasnt
2) the other half are now dissing Nas saying he was never this nice and not creative enough so of course it wasnt him...like he aint gotta a body of work to speak of

:snoop: Had a feeling shyt was gonna that way

I understand being cynical and feeling disrespected by a lot of today's popular culture and hip hop but sometimes the hate some people on this site have is just embarrassing, totally misdirected and begins to parallel the exact type of disgusting mockery they're trying to hate on.. :snoop:
