I don't mean the action man comment as a backhanded compliment either.

If you 165lb+ doing 20 pull-ups with good form you are THE guy to me. That's a lot of strength & endurance in those lats and biceps. A very strong core too.

We should have a seperate thread for videos.. especially for pull-ups. You gotta be 150< or action man to hit 20 pull-ups.

I tried for a year to get to 25.. I got to 12-14 then gave up.
Nah..Im 5'10 about 180 .I can do 20 pullups and about 23 chinups.never had problems doing pullups used to have to do them when I was in the Marines..anyone having problems doing them should start using a weighted dip belt you'll get them up in no time..

For 20? :what: I weigh 215-220 sometimes even 225 and I can do that.

Been a while since I've maxed push ups, but I'd estimate:

50+ push ups
5 pull ups - good form though

Me and pull ups just don't get along. I got up to 7 a while back, but my workouts have been inconsistent the past 2 months.
When I started, I could do 2. Back then, I would finish sets of 5 with negatives. Now I finish off sets of 10 with negatives.
My back/biceps are my slowest developing muscle group when it comes to strength, but my biceps are the 1st thing I notice geting size/definition when I workout consistently.

lol at these numbers, ive scrolled the last 2 pages of thread and no push stat is under 35 no pullup stat under 5, is anyone on here not the prototype human being?
The thread is in a section of the forum where people are gym regulars. I would expect most of us to be able to do 35 and 5. If this was in TLR I'm sure the results would be more in line with the general populace.

But anyway, Pushups like 110-115 and pull-ups 38... I was a young niggy then though. Now it's like 90-95... 30 pull-ups

I used to bet people all the time in the military. Bet my Army homeboy I could do 30 strict pullups, bet my Navy homie I could do 20 one-arm pushups, another that I could do 100 pushups in a minute, and entered bodyweight competitions for Naval Station San Diego when i was stationed there
