I missed out on sooooo many good JRPGs getting a N64 instead of a PlayStation back in the day. Part of my resentment toward nintendo started in this era. I remember they had a huge list of games like pokemon 64, mother 3, mario rpg 2, etc i was super hype coming form SNES and then we got absolutely nothing. I went out and got Quest 64 for my birthday i was so hyped for an rpg. It was a disaster.

When I finally got PlayStation, and got BOF3, ff7-9, Star Ocean, Xenogears, Legends of Mana, FFT, Vagrant Story, Parasite Eve etc etc i was in heaven

You did better than me. I got a damn Sega Saturn . Didn't upgrade to PlayStation until 1998, just in time for Tekken 3, Metal Gear Solid etc. My friends clowned my azz for months in 5th/6th grade. PlayStation (the OG version) was just special.
