My friends and family mock me for not having money at the moment as I decided to invest it all in the stock market.
My lady upset I spent the rent money on a stock I thought was a sure thing,as If I wouldn't have a backup plan.
I say that to say black people really need to expand our horizons,it's really a weakness of ours that we condemn people for what we don't understand,or whats unfamiliar. I've taken many L's as I am a new investor, but I've told them all about the wins and some have even seen. But all they seem to focus on is the L's I told them about.
I wasn't facing this type of criticism when I was losing money hand over fist off dice
. We got people that risk jail, and losing their family selling ounces. Yet nikkas will turn around and ask them if they can get put on,but don't wanna hear shyt about no stocks
.
Try not to get frustrated, they will come around once you hit big. To many black people, credibility is based on your bank account.
I know hiphop culture has managed to make it where we only salute the ones who land in jail
.but I want to salute all the risk takers in the community who took a chance
