This sotck "MARK" was on an incredible one, doubled in a week.
Unfortunatley it dropped down today after I put all my rent money in
But I'm looking for it to bounce back tommorow,I guess I'll have to let you know when I have enough for two rents
notice that none of you asked me "What is this amazing stock thats a sure thing?".
You guys immediately came in to crticize my character as a man and as a father. I think I somewhat proved my point,as black people we have to train our minds to the point where those are the kind of questions we want answers for.
I think you're misunderstanding. No one has said anything negative about the investment itself. The fact that nobody asked any details about the investment itself is probably more of a sign that there is no stigma. Now do you honestly think I am suggesting for black people to spend their rent money on stocks? That is something I chose to do,and while I think I'm taking unfair criticism for it from loved ones and you guys. I am definitley not advocating for black people to spend their rent, though I do think blacks with savings need to begin to invest our money in it. Now explain why you seem so hell bent on down talking investing as if its a black hole for your money? People win big in the stock market, people change their lives overnight with the stock market for better or for worse. I advocate for smart investing by black people, and knowing your limitations, and being very cautious. Everybody can't be the Clint Eastwood of this shyt
You must also learn to take calculated risks. Risking the availability of a roof over your head on something wildly unstable does not fall within the category of sound business dealings. You use disposable or accumulated savings to trade, or even loans, not but fixed overheads such as rent. Take heed, breh. Mistakes like this can and will cost you than the scorn of your significant other more should you continue betting with rent money."Before you can become a millionaire, you must learn to think like one. You must learn how to motivate yourself to counter fear with courage.”
But even better than that I told you I had a backup plan I took money out of my credit card,I'll be able to pay that down with the next check.
I know one thing, hate to say it,but this got me looking at my ol lady in a different light. I might have to suggest to all men out there to tell your woman you spent the rent money, just to see how bad she switch up on you
Options? not for meUPDATE:I ended up taking out my 401K that was a couple thou,I got into the riskier option calls and actually ended up turning that into $11,000 when greed got the best of me and I made bad decisions. God had to humble me because I was getting out of line. I am now back at square one around $2000. Hopefully this is an uplifting story of the power of investing and a cautionary tale, that Nike thread made me think of this, and I wanted to bring a story of hope from a real person. You can change your life dramatically if you make the right decisions and don't let your emotions get the best of you. You might want to play it safer and play the long game, and wait til we have a president who doesn't have diarhea of the mouth. Don't just listen to the naysayers, try it for yourself.
Also I will take this time to humble myself and apologize to my righteous attachment for making dispariging comments about her,she probably saw my gamblers personality and knew it would end badly the whole time. Also to the posters who told me the same thing about myself but I refused to see it and procceed with caution.
