Why are you so hung up on black people spending all their money on stocks?? Who are you?? Who do you work for?? When those investments and stocks fall through, how will they pay their rent?

Now do you honestly think I am suggesting for black people to spend their rent money on stocks? That is something I chose to do,and while I think I'm taking unfair criticism for it from loved ones and you guys. I am definitley not advocating for black people to spend their rent,though I do think blacks with savings need to begin to invest our money in it. Now explain why you seem so hell bent on down talking investing as if its a black hole for your money? People win big in the stock market,people change their lives overnight with the stock market for better or for worse. Like the old saying says you have to spend money to make money.Plus I have multiple stocks,it would be hard for me to lose all the money I have tied up,If I had to I would simply cash out. Its not really gambling when you know your limitations,its risk taking.

OP that's not called an investment. Buying a stock today with the intention of selling it in a day, a week or 6 months later is called trading.
Investing is long term like years so yes they are right for calling you an idiot for trading (gambling) with your rent money.
There is no such thing as a sure thing in the stock market. Don't put any money in that you aren't willing to risk losing it
Read up on value investing and stop throwing your money away. I used to be just like you...but never dumb enough to play with my rent money

I have to disagree,when the reward is greater than the risk,I have leverage.

At worst I'm likely to lose hundreds of dollars,at worst possibly a thousand,but I'll still have money invested. I'm losing money that wouldn't change my life either way,just make me more "stable" depending on if everything in life goes as predicted which is no guarantee

That rent money wont mean much if god forbid I have a car accident,cant work,rack up medical bills next month.
