I swear I was the only one who remembers that in detail...Lego had our age bracket on lock with the space teams. I was team Blacktron, they had better vehicles and rovers to me
That was the first time I saw how dope the Lego man toys could be. Them shyts had helmets with movable visors, oxygen tanks, and tools for them. I don't remember them having cool shyt like that before this set.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
So Reagan was the reason we got these toys cartoons, and cereal pushed on us like crack before crack came. I guess he was just practicing on the kids first.

GOAT era to grow up in though... Just confirms we had all the shyt.. Before the market weeded out 90% of these products, we had them all

@Kenny West i definitely had the Ninjazord. shyt had me hype cuz I had the Falcon with it so the bih could fly too….:wow:
When the CPS 2500 and 3000s came out they fukking banned them because they was just too powerful.

I couldn't even carry the cops 2500 correctly because that shyt weight like 25 lbs with full water.

Pops came home with, not one but, two tyco race tracks
:krs:

It wasn't even Xmas or my birthday. Just some random azz Friday

We stayed up until about 2 in the morning putting them together. He moved the living room furniture out of the way and we took up the whole floor. Moms was hot when she saw what we did that morning.
We had them cars running round the track all weekend

the expensive scott bernard....

shyt was a hundo.
so only one person had this.
my best friend who was killed for his three quarter chinese leather five years later when he was fifteen.

when he was ten...he was six foot three, and i was small foot nuffin.
it took me a minute to even think about posting it.
as i been getting misty from the nostalgia of this thread.

after my pops passed....
a nikka a bit of waterworks like a whilce portacio comic.
which is fitting.
as i would have never learned to collect comics and preserve them.
nor what a comic book store was either.

if not for my best friend getting killed.
where to this day,..no one ever found out who did this.

i still would like to know who this person is.

who took the gentle giant from us all.
plus the person who was gonna write and make the comic book i thought i was destined to draw.
i was in my second year of comic school, and only had two more years of comic and high school to go.
before i got to do what i thought i was born to do.
which was pencil the comic book of my best friend.

catalog_1987_a-metroplex-toy-shot.jpg

This shyt was stupid expensive :picard:
This is Metroplex and he wasn't really that big
I actually found mine in my parents attic a few years ago and fixed it. The top half was broken off from the bottom but I found a video on youtube on how to fix it. Then I bought all the spare parts that were missing on ebay.

I think you are you talking about Fortress Maximus who was triple the size of Metroplex and Omega Supreme

East Side!
GI Joes were the shyt..the packaging art, the blueprints that came with the vehicles/play sets. The detail. I have a box of action figures that I am saving for when I have a son to pass on. Those play sets posted in here were bigger than the damn kids playing with them!
