Legos, more specifically Tyco Super Blocks which were Legos too, I liked them better cuz you could make anything you wanted and not just 1 or 2 things like the Lego sets.

Can yall imagine walking into a CVS back in the late 70s and they got a bullshyt toy bin and you see this:

a time traveling geek from 2022 would rip the entire display out and buy everything, then sleep outside until they restocked the next day

I had this shyt early 90s

This batman and robocop's car and action figures. Were like the last hurrah for great toys of my brother gen.

After that...i honestly have never seen kids really play with toys.
To the point...
When i see kids into toys it is lego but lego ain't really shyt to no great hero. America has ruined children and existenssial play with their prison industrial economy bullshyt.

Legos, more specifically Tyco Super Blocks which were Legos too, I liked them better cuz you could make anything you wanted and not just 1 or 2 things like the Lego sets.

This.

Yes tyco was killin lego.

Lego could not compare.
That i still wonder how lego is this popular.
Lego is boring and goofie with it.
It has no grit or feel to invoke anything past the movies and after that.
I am glad i had a girl.
If you got a boy. I feel for you because unkess you married disconnect has to be an issue.
As i see boys have a lack of existential play. Plus failure to thrive from a lack of drive.

It is a crisis.

Great post.

Robotix was murdering everything i posted earlier as well.
How kids even find lego exciting and have no hero or charming figures is criminal.

I am just glad i grew up when i grew up. My moms would not even look at lego movie. So if i was born in this shyt. I eould be fukk'n miserable. Plus these nee heros have no love interest. If that hero had no love interest he was trash to me.

Like i think that also hurts toys too. As they do not promote family. When we were kids saturday morning cartoons promoted family. Popeye and son, captain cave man and son, flintstones kids, etc....

Robotech...max and miriya and dana sterling.

Rick hunter had two females.
Flint and lady jaye
Halle berry = lady jaye came to life in the form of a black woman.

How is this missed in life now.
How.

Where are the men and women characters with implied family.

Super Nintendo and my super scope 6:wow:

Man when I was around 5 or so I had one of those big yellow Tonka dump trucks the ones made out of real metal not that plastic shyt :hhh: I was like a damn construction worker all the rocks and random shyt I'd haul it in. I was devastated when it broke and all they had left to buy was the plastic ones.:mjcry:

Before I show, let me tell…

My brother and I got laced one Christmas. We woke up to damn near every GI Joe figure that was out. We were so hyped! My Pops had to go to work in the days following Christmas and my brother and I were staying at my grandfather’s house during the day until school started up again. Paw paw as we called him lived in the hood. Bar across the street, candy lady next door just to set the scenery.

So one day we took all of our GI Joes over there and were outside playing all day. This lil dirty nikka from my Paw Paw’s hood decided to line us up that day. We had never seen this dude before but he seemed nice. Long story short we played all day. He was like…

 “Y’all should leave the toys here so we can play again tomorrow.”

Our dumb asses:

:ehh: “Okay. That’s cool.”

And we start packing up our men and vehicles to take them inside. This dude…

:jawalrus: “Naw… leave em outside right here so tomorrow we can pick up where we left off.”

Us: :patrice: “You sure? Somebody might take them.”

 “Y’all straight. No one would do that around here.”

Us the next day: :mjcry::mjcry:

I learned early not to trust new nikkas.

I was so scarred by that event that I had nightmares about it into my 20s. Keep in mind I saw someone die before in that same hood. His eye came out his head and everything, but being taken advantage of stuck with me more.

Couldnt tell me nothing when we was outside and everybody else had the secondary characters, had me feeling untouchable
