Young black males need to stop thinking about traditional colleges

i dont, i look down down at people that try to tell young black males that they should focus on trade professions, so i mos def look down at you

and start thinking about vocational schools. In the next decade or so when the baby boomers start retiring, there's gonna be a massive shortage of trades skill positions like mechanics, electricians, plumbers, machinist, carpenters etc. Its not glamorous work but u can make a KILLING out here doing this if u got the skills and the certification.

There needs to be a change in mindset among some about this "you gotta go to a four year college"...trade schools, as well as some community colleges are where its at.

Some people go to school because they actually like the *field* they are studying and not just for the MONEY.

If people look at $$$$$ and decide a career. They won't be in it for long.

black people that go to college and get a degree, then earn a good living are usually not the ones that have a serious issue with their finances. you are confusing the low end blackfolks with the high end.

You don't hear many black babies born into generational wealth. Don't mistake making a few investments here and there or having an emergency fund as "not having an issue" with finances. If a Hilton or Kennedy is born (w/i that family), you know that little MF is rich before he starts solid food.

Naw. i'm looking at this job hunting handbook man the people who have bachelor degrees, master degrees, professional degrees in the engineering science, Math & Health fields make way alot of money than fields that require on the job training & Vocational training.


Then again those fields ain't a cakewalk.
