Young black males need to stop thinking about traditional colleges

and start thinking about vocational schools. In the next decade or so when the baby boomers start retiring, there's gonna be a massive shortage of trades skill positions like mechanics, electricians, plumbers, machinist, carpenters etc. Its not glamorous work but u can make a KILLING out here doing this if u got the skills and the certification.

There needs to be a change in mindset among some about this "you gotta go to a four year college"...trade schools, as well as some community colleges are where its at.

Why get yourself into massive debt trying to finance a 4 year college education...when u can go to a trade school for half the cost and time...and come out with certs for jobs that will always be in HIGH demand...and likely pays more than that 4 year degree anyway.

Should be noted that i'm talking about b*llshyt degrees...not shyt like engineering, medicine etc.

If u are insinuating that I am taking Washington's position, thats flawed for a couple of reasons:

- Some of the careers that I am talking about involves HIGH skills and knowledge and pays HIGH wages...not some little low class grunt work. These jobs will be in high demand especially once the baby boomers retire, so job security will be there.

- This is not even a race thing (despite the title), its about young people in general changing their mindset in a post Great Recession world...I mention black males because those are my people, and I know there are talented brothers out there that are good with their hands that are either on the corner, got massive debt with a sh*tty degree or wasting away in college about to drop out.
