I’m ADOS and went to SA a few months ago. I want to visit other African countries as a tourist and someone who appreciates history/culture, not on some “I’mma reconnect w/ my long lost brothers “

No, the bigger issue is not diaspora wars, that's just the piece that you and others like you focus on.

That doesn't mean we hate Africa, it just means we have a NEW history here. Why is that so hard for some of yall to see? Anytime we see older people talking about the "good old times" we laugh at them if they are dead broke now. Why would I as ADOS keep talking about Africa, and barely acknowledge where I live now, AND where I live now is shytting on me constantly? THEN I have Africans come here, and sound just like my oppressor? Why can Jamaicans be proud of being Jamaican, but I can't? The only Jamaicans who talk the "African" stuff is rastas, most are proud Jamaicans. Its the same for all groups in the diaspora.
