And I was there in the 80's, we LOVED Africa. I used to wear African medalions, the rap music was all about Africa. We went crazy when Mandella got free, we had a parade for him in Brooklyn, so stop with lies we gave them hell. I agree we cracked jokes, but that's all it was, with them it is bigger. I never heard ADOS lose their minds if you dated an African, but I have with them. It's more, but you aren't gonna acknowledge it anyway.

I'm telling you as a person who had, and still does, pride in having African roots. I LOVED Africa(not just west Africa), but meeting the modern version of my family changed all of that

Now, I don't trust anyone until I know for sure you are with me. Before it was "black is black" regardless of where you come from, but that shyt changed when I heard them talk about us. Other nonwhite immigrants came in the late 60's, early 70's, but most came in the mid 70's,early 80's due to the fact that you couldn't live in this country if you weren't white until the 1965 immigration act, which was because of black Americans civil rights movement, btw.

The only people who came here from Africa before 1965 were those going to schools. You did have some west indians, but even then they were less then 1%(all nonwhite immigrants), and they were still here on visas to work
