Nah, pull out your phone and show them your coli dap count
I get and agree with everything you're saying. But to me it's just a piece of paper. It has Hot Cheetos and soda stains all over it because it was just sitting on my dining room table after they sent it lol. Yeah I put the work in to get it but it doesn't make me any better or less than the next person. I just showed that I was able to consistently stay on task to achieve somethingNo it's not. Stop downplaying it. Thid is the issue with capitalism it causes people to accrue negative bias towards things that cost money if it doesnt make them any money in return. Accredited universities have general education requirements along with major courses that make people who graduate undergrad more educated on various topics in general. You're taught how to think, do research, ask good questions, etc. You end up more aware of socio-political issues, environmental issues, etc. You meet more diverse people there as well and learn to coexist with others outside of your comfrot zone. It's far from that just a piece of paper.
She worked at a bank doing IT work and got up to 70k without finishing her degree. I used to tell her don't stress yourself out unnecessarily trying to go get a degree especially if you're comfortable where you're at. If you choose to climb higher then a degree might make you more attractive but relationships, your reputation, and who you know will definitely be a main factor too.Thing is 70k is entry level when you have a masters, if not more. I was making 80k, by just working on it.
a lot of my so called friends from high school felt a certain type of why when I graduated college. They weren't necessarily jealous but insecure about it. It made things awkward and our friendship eventually got lost.

Yeah it doesn't make you better or less. Just like someone who was marine has different experiences it shows you achieved something educationally and what goes along with it. The people who are insecure and bothered by that realize it. They don't feel like they've done anything. Especially those who stayed in their comfort zone their whole lives.I get and agree with everything you're saying. But to me it's just a piece of paper. I guess it depends where you are/your circle because it’s definitely more embarrassing if you don’t have a degree.
This might be a "class" level thread. I haven't heard stuff like this since I graduated high school (2000).....
