North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
These apps charge a service fee and a delivery fee. When you add taxes, the total can equal or surpass what you actually ordered. And they expect you to tip? :mjpls:

you can’t control where the driver came from. I don’t give a shyt if they drove an hour. That’s not my problem. And it’s not like you can pick your driver.

they should make the delivery fee a flat rate within a certain zone and give it all to the driver.

I live in an apartment so I don't tip until I get my order. Normally I'll meet them downstairs tho, so I save them the hassle of finding parking and getting to an elevator that actually works lol. I don't understand why the app tries to get us to tip before getting the damn food

I'm not one of those inconsiderate people who would live on the top floor of a building, knows parking is hard to come by, knows an elevator is out of service, and is just too lazy to put on a pair of pants and come downstairs

Usually fw your posts but this is a cheap nikka take. In general as a society we should never tip, the practice comes from barren economic times where employers couldn't cover wages, so patrons helped bridged the gap. Companies should be giving enough pay for cost of living but that's an entirely different discussion. I'm 22 more or less broke in the large scheme of life, but I still give 15% minimum because I do/have done delivery and work/have worked in the food service industry. shyt is cancer, and you're tip could be what stops a dude from hitting a lick on someone, or worse.

Only time I don't tip is when clear cut instructions aren't followed. Do better OG

So Cal
I agree.

I pay for food, delivery, tax and then tip? Nah, Uber, door dash and others should pay a fair wage.

sometimes it’s worse when they ask you to tip before the food gets there

Just understand drivers on every app but Postmates can see whether or not you tip or not, before they accept, if you don't the pay for the delivery will be low and most drivers with intelligence/options will decline that shyt, so you're food will take longer to get there, further more the people who do take will care less about being careful while carrying it from restaurant to car/car to crib.

Sidenote: I don't get why y'all shortchange people who have your name and address. Seems shortsided imo
