Throwing to WHO, @Trip?

He was in the top 10 in deep passes when Holmes and Hill (bums) were here his rookie season.

You thought I forgot about "going deep" with Cumberland, Kerley, Nelson and Salas didn't you? :troll:

Context...you lack it.

Devin Smith and even Owusu are better deep threats than what Geno had last season.

I must say, your blind faith in Geno is encouraging.

Blind faith?

Where is the fallacy or lack of fact here? This ins't a "faith based" argument. It's showing you that you are wrong and you sayign it is a faith based argument.

2013

1 Russell Wilson SEA 60 27 2 922 9 5 14.7 48.3
2 Peyton Manning DEN 83 38 2 1299 12 5 12.6 48.2
3 Mike Glennon TB 45 18 3 673 7 1 10.8 46.7
3 Geno Smith NYJ 60 26 2 830 4 7 13.5 46.7
5 Colin Kaepernick SF 57 21 5 683 6 2 13.7 45.6
5 Jay Cutler CHI 57 24 2 829 5 5 16.1 45.6
7 Nick Foles PHI 55 25 0 803 14 1 17.4 45.5
8 Andy Dalton CIN 86 31 7 1028 14 5 14.7 44.2
9 Philip Rivers SD 57 21 4 696 7 4 10.5 43.9
10 Tony Romo DAL 56 21 3 695 8 1 10.5 42.9

The difference was the receiving core.

The same here is you lack of context. Not surprising that you fail at deconstructing my points over and over again.

We knew going in Fitzpatrick would get the first 4. If he shyts the bed in London then think about making the switch. I just dont get the blind faith Geno's suddenly going to be much better with Devin Smith and Brandon Marshall. The kid gets so flustered when his first read is covered and takes sacks.

Geno was even worse his rookie year.

Dont make it a "blind faith" argument when your opinions are being shot down. :heh:

You're easy bro. I'm going to post the Fitz "first read" throws for you. 95% of his throws have been first reads this season.

Not on deep throws....not in facts. just your mind full of (fill in the blank)_____________.

His game tends to change depending on the weapons available to him. You seem not to like that fact. Why?

How are they being shot down when Geno has two years of being statistically the worst QB in football?

because we are talking about "deep throws"

Remember what you posted less than 6 minutes ago?

and you are moving the goalpost to this new point above that had nothing to do with me shooting down your deep throw argument based on the players he had available to him.

You never deconstruct my points. You move on from them.

If Geno gets the nod eventually I hope he turns it around.

I don't believe you. If Geno sucks, we move on and my belief in him is wrong. It's no big deal to me...but let's stop changing arguments and act like we can learn from each other in here

I think there's more that meets the eye with why he isnt playing. The IK situation hurt his standing in the locker room a lot imo.

Fitzpatrick should be benched no matter what happens against Miami. I was willing to give him a chance if he showed he could steward the team but that seems less and less likely now that teams have stymied him 2 weeks in a row. It's Geno's time now.

To add to @NYC Rebel 's point, when Geno had Holmes in 2013, he was a top 10 deep ball thrower in terms of accuracy, attempts and yards per attempt.

Then in 2014 Geno deep ball efficacy dropped as he threw to JAGs and a hobbled Decker. However when Decker healed up, Geno's deep ball came back.

Geno's deep ball will be at least good and probably better than good with the likes of Marshall, Decker and Devin Smith. His bread-and-butter is the intermediate middle zone where Marshall and Decker thrive too.

Whether he will or won't be better, we're justified in wanting to know one way or another
