Do yall think that this script was written to end with an overall plan in mind for upcoming movies?

Or is it the case that they just pulled a Matrix 2 and 3 and didn't know how to put together a coherent script? Basically just throwing stuff out there hoping it would work?

Definitley yes, during the media blitz last year, Snyder basically said as much (He's overseeing the whole thing). I think originally (~2014) it started as just a bats cameo but then evolved into dawn of justice, in order to fast track a justice league movie.

There's a definite plan breh. They start filming justice League in less than a month,suicide squad comes out in Aug and wonder woman is filming.

That's actually one of the things people have against this film, a good chunk of the film is set up for the next films.

Okay that helps. I guess being more of a Marvel guy back in the day, has lead to my ignorance on some of the scenes in this movie. It's kind of hard to enjoy what you don't understand.

I definitely plan to see this movie again because I know I missed out on a couple of subtle moments.

I'm not sure we were supposed to recognize him.

I took that Flash scene as intentionaly confusing for the average viewer (who see it from Bruce's perspective) mixed with a wink to the comic book fans who know about the Flash.

Not sure why people are acting like this movie was the first comic book film to tease or hint at stuff that's serves as setup for following films that comic book fans will catch but will leave the casual viewer

There was nothing intentional about it. That was most definitely their take on the characters costume.

Well maybe they should have thought of using that costume instead of the iron man shyt that had people confused.

Maybe people would have realized that he was the flash bringing a warning about the JL instead of people in the theater being confused thinking random ass scenes were thrown in for unknown reasons.

It's a damn shame that that scene was supposed to get a reaction from the crowd, seeing the flash for the first time. Instead it has people questioning the editing and wondering if they tacked this shyt on.

That would be like marvel introducing capitan america In a karate gi looking like iron fist or something, then expecting people to get excited to see him and they don't realize it's him.

DC clearly doesn't know what they are doing.

That'd be a dope twist. And since MM is a shapeshifter that's one of those roles than can easily recast if they need to.

A problem I'm encountering in the theory is that, people believe he's a coward who stood on the sidelines in the first movie when Superman was fighting Zod.

That's a good point. I don't know, you could write it off as J'onn being unable to reveal himself lest he be discovered by more of his race and drawing them to Earth. So you also sort of tease the existence of White Martians too in case anyone chooses to use them, maybe in Green Lantern? And it also kind of creates a parallel between Clark and J'onn.
