Superman has never had telepathy in the comics. If they are saying he had it here then that just makes him going to Batman instead of going to save his mom look stupid. If he could read Batman's mind while he was in space half dead then why not read his mother's mind to find out where she is? These were less examples of telepathy and more bad or lazy writing of characters knowing things because the plot demands they know with no regard for whether it makes sense. Also he knew where Lois was due to super hearing.
Unrelated, I just realized how much it bothers me that the entire movie hinges on Superman not cleaning up the dangerous alien tech left in the aftermath Mos. Given that Zod only found Earth because of him screwing with a ship left behind why would he think it was a good idea to leave the world engine and that same ship lying around for humans to mess with?
he's had it, it depends on whose writing him....they've never let it stick though, it's one of those here 1 min, gone the next powers....
as for making it look stupid he went to batman instead of looking for his mom: no, it didnt...he wouldnt risk his mom's life like that....he would do what he did: go and try to talk to bruce...
yea, super hearing helps, but all that shyt going on, why would he know exactly where she was if he wasnt keeping track on her somehow?...seriously, he was in the middle of the fight with shyt blowing up, screaming, etc., but he looked exactly where she was after she hit a couple times....which means he was keeping track on her....not only that, why would she go back for the spear?..she didnt know what it could do...she's smart, but she aint that damn smart....she didnt know what doomsday was....
...i'm not saying it's a fact, i'm just saying dont be surprised if that's what it was hinting at....
