Cause TOO MANY BLACK MEN feel thier justified in having a MID LIFE CRISIS

and sad to say its due to alot of women PROMOTING IT :manny:

Women wanting thier men to dress young....and act "youthful" Cause they dont wanna be with no "old fashioned geezer" unless he is a Sugardaddy

I see it all the time thats why we got so many women TAKING care of men

And they wonder why HE NEVER GROWS UP
Not all women concedes to this shallowness, tho:whoa:

Would be dope if someone took his monologue and placed it over Big Homie beat

Now that's something I could listen to.

I would be critical of Jay for that even though I'm a fan. I feel he's too conformist and TOO concerned with money over art, and that's 1 of the reasons his last album wasn't very good at all. It's kind of hurting his legacy cause there's gonna be more people who supersede him if he doesn't get back on his game musically. The only thing I'd say to defend Jay is at least he does grown man shyt too, so he has a better balance, he isn't all 1 thing, but he's been kind of a gateway that allows people to sell out and that's a shame to me cause he's a great MC, a great artist, has a body of fantastic song, and I respect him and he knows better. He's an intelligent man, but he's more about the money than the culture overall and that's unfortunate. If Chuck D was in that position shyt doesn't go down like that.

He's made no secret about his interests.....and I actually applaud him for being "all about the money" 1000%
Every move he makes is shrewd .....His legacy is one of cunning endurance and pragmatism

No one is going to supersede him......Maybe Kanye will eventually but he's more concerned with art

Chuck D would never get in that position because he has different value systems.........

He hasn't, but I don't applaud him for that, there comes a point where it's morally and culturally negligent to not being doing more. It is shrewd I guess, but there's more to life than money.

i think its moreso a case of the rappers that are still on being shallow.

all the dudes with stuff to say have pretty much been shut out the game.

jay-z was always jay-z. not saying he was never saying anything. he always had something to say, but he never had food for thought LIKE THAT. so who am i to hold it against him? but wheres the other older rappers that were REALLY saying something? why dmx get ran out the game? if we're subjected to flabby jay albums, then why cant we have flabby X on tv?

same with these late '20s rappers. they push these dudes that aint bout chit, and then they have guys that pretend to be about something but are about as deep as a puddle and clearly have way more white ears than black bumpin em. meanwhile, the real dudes cant get deals.

and some of these names i see in here cosigning chuck, are the same ones that be on here falling for the okey-doke.

"It's the fault of punk adults who are afraid to check a young cat like that"

People wanna be acceptable to little 13/14/15/16 year old kids instead of being adults. That's why I respect rappers like Nas that don't completely dumb themselves down, and rappers who are dope yet act like adults, KRS-One, Wise Intelligent, Rakim, K-Rino, Brother Ali and a bunch of others.
Wasn't Nas talking all that street shyt, mafioso bla bla when he never was a G in first place? Then all that baller shyt, Oochie wally and on. Most rappers, almost all rappers "dumbed down" their sound, sometimes to make better music or sometimes times to sell more records. Some rappers can't dumb down their music, they don't know how to make hits. People give them cred but these dudes might not be able to make hits, that's a lot harder than making 'socially conscious' music.

People listening to metal are probably a lot smarter on average than people listening to conscious rap. I don't know how the spread is between conscious rap and ignorant rap though, but to think that conscious rap makes people smarter is just stupid. Why? Cause most of these rapper are not even half as smart as an half ass high school teacher. Structural and social improvement is the only thing that can improve our wellbeing not some fukking dumb smart rapper.
