Bruh im not using a house as a Trump card im addressing nikkas picking whichever based on what women want.
And whatchu mean women love games at the crib. Unless you go after young aint shyt bytches who still going to the club cause its new to them
I just think its a geography thing my chick 25 got her degree and like living in the city .Im 35 and aint trying to talk to women over 30 so maybe thats when the board game house party phase comes in.Right now all my chick wants is a show,a food festival every once in a while ,and for me to find a reason for us to get fly. We both grew up in houses and love the city now.I also dont see these houses as safe you cant put burglar bars on them.

Having to catch an elevator to get in your place. :hhh:

You gotta take out the trash or bring in groceries, now you gotta make a heroes journey to get inside :hhh:

You got neighbors on the other side of the wall :hhh:

you wanna have a bbq, your ass is cooking ribs in the oven like a heathen :hhh:

you come home from work and somebody parked in your space. Now you either gotta go snitch or park down the street :hhh:
That’s not how any of that works other than using an elevator :pachaha:And that’s if you don’t have a private one. I’m not even in a penthouse and 70% of the time, I’m in the elevator alone.

A trash chute is literally steps from your door no matter what floor you’re on. You can take the trash out at any time regardless of the weather. Convenient.

Because you live so close to everything, you don’t need to buy tons of groceries for multiple hauls. There’s likely a convenience store downstairs that is part of the amenity package. I had a full grocery store (Treasure Island) downstairs when I lived at the Playboy Building. There’s a Target downstairs in my building now. Even if you had tons of groceries, concierge will have a cart ready for you to use if they don’t bring it up themselves. Convenient.

If you are in the penthouse, you don’t have neighbors on the other side of a wall or above you. Maybe another penthouse on the other side of the building at the most. And buildings that have penthouses on their top floors are better buildings than the usual. Meaning concrete walls and floors and you don’t hear shyt.

Everyone keeps saying “balcony” but if you are in the penthouse, you should have a terrace. These are usually the size of a typical apartment (several hundred sqft). There’s plenty of room to grill. You can do that with a balcony. Terraces in a penthouse can be used to host parties. Comparable to party space a backyard gives as home.

And parking is assigned. No one can take your spots. Valet knows where car is supposed to go. Any car parked there that isn’t yours will be automatically towed. Some garages have gated parking spots inside for the premium owners/renters for even more protection so no one can take your assigned parking spots. When I lived at the Trump, they provided you with a complimentary house car. A chauffeur will take you anywhere within a 2mi radius of the building (if available) free to residents for any reason.

The pictures OP posted aren’t even penthouses. Just regular hi rise condos with regular amenities.

Most of these dudes live in outhouse country so they don't know what anything looks like.

The house may be a better longterm investment but fukk yardwork and general upkeep of owning a home. fukk that 40 minute commute too :pacspit:

The penthouse will retain value for the proximity to nightlife and activities anyway.

I live in a house in the city. its 15 minutes to drive downtown. or I can walk 2 blocks to the train and get downtown in around 20 minutes.

I'm not trying to live in some sprawling suburb. I don't have little kids in my house, so that lifestyle doesn't appeal to me.

I’d take the house all day long.

I’d rather have some shyt that is mine rather than likely leasing a penthouse that will never be mine and making someone else money.

If making someone else money I want my investment to be mine and mine alone eventually. I’d much rather have a backyard with a little privacy fence and my grill and stuff on the back too.

Keeping up a house is maintenance though, because about once or twice a year I have to repair something at my current house. A lot of y’all got a borrowers mindset and it kinda shows here.

And for those that are choosing the penthouse because they dont want to deal with upkeep and landscaping of a home, understand that even if you own the penthouse, you are paying a few thousand each month in HOA fees. That same money can be put towards hiring professionals to keep your lawn and a maintenance man.

This all really comes down to how much of a do it yourselfer you are around the house and in yard work. If the house has at least 5 acres I’d really want to do it but like the other breh said, a house is work.

Having experienced that condo life for the first time last year I’m much more inclined to pay my hoa fees and keep it moving. I’d rather be enjoying life than having to maintain a yard...and if I’m rich enough I can still have that two story penthouse with the man cave/theater room setup. :banderas:

5 acres is a lot. Unless you're hiring landscapers you would basically be working full time on the weekends.

You own condominiums you would just pay your condo fees but own your penthouse.
