So the consensus is that unless you want unlimited voice, this plan sucks.

Makes senses, since people are talking less and using more data.

eventually everything will be capped and ull be paying out the ass
everything will be streaming soon and they are just preparing themselves for that

all this stuff that is going on with american companies is already done and set in stone in canada we been dealing with this shyt for like 3 years now, mobile phones and home internet

companies are getting straight up greedy, charging more for air service, things they don't even need to build infrastructure for(digging, putting wires in) and yet it all costs more.

ppl have to get ahold of themselves and stop buying the shyt... and send these companies into the tailspin we all sent the music business into.

if u starting up a new plan and u feel u getting ripped of go pay as you go, don't give in because this is how they are able to rape the shyt out of ppl.

im never signing a contract ever again im telling companies i work in fukking bali and i can't sign a long contract

gonna buy my phones outright etc.

ppl are literally just pouring money into these companies and not thinking about how much you're getting ripped off

Oh, ok, so it hasn't gone into effect yet.
Dont know if you saw my post before I edited but the info I put was wrong

Here's cnet on it

Would I still be able to continue getting subsidized phones when I upgrade if I want to keep my existing plan?
The answer to this question again is a big fat Yes! But there is one caveat. You can only upgrade and get a subsidized phone if you already have a tiered plan. In other words, if you have an unlimited data plan and you want the subsidized phone, you will have to switch to a tiered plan. You can either choose a new family share plan or you can also choose one of Verizon's current plans. That's right -- if you're already a Verizon customer, you can choose from one of the older plans even after the company stops offering those plans to new customers.
If I am a new Verizon Wireless subscriber after June 28, and I don't want a share plan, can I sign up for one of the old individual plans?
Unfortunately, the answer to this question is no. All new Verizon Wireless customers will only be offered the Family Share plans going forward. That goes for individuals as well as families.

The Yay
this shyt is all because of bandwidth issues...and companies seeing this and realizing data lines will get crazy bandwidth in the near future because of good internet speed.

voice channels are going down in price because its so cheap in terms of bandwidth.

while bandwidth for data can get real large.

4g is really a continuation of 3g, and companies didnt really expect that shyt to take off like that imo

 i done said plenty of times this plan aint for everyone

what is your current plan ?

Alright then. I pay about $100 for like 450 voice, 5000 txts, & unlimited data. Oh, plus the 5 or 6 bucks Asurion wants for insurance comes to about $100. So yeah, fukk having to check how much data I'm using each month.... but I definitely don't want to pay full price for a phone.
