Yo....wtf no one is outraged over this Verizon Data plan change?

I'm grandfathered, so It doesnt bother me. However, whoever said you'll lose your grandafatha status if you upgrade.. That's not true. Well, unless you upgrade after the 28th of this month. I just preordered the Galaxy SIII and I can still keep my original plan.

I don't care if all the companies are saying that, it's bullshyt. They're only saying it to use it as an excuse to charge these ridiculous amounts for data.

I don't wanna keep repeating myself, but THE DATA PRICES ARE TOO HIGH. You don't have to be an idiot to see it. Your whole premise is based on ppl having unlimited minutes and messaging, and using little amounts of data before switching. Most ppl don't fall into that category. Again, as I said in my first post, DATA IS WHERE IT'S AT. It goes Data......................messaging.......minutes. The fact that they're lowering the price to include unlimited minutes and messaging, while driving the price to data up should tell you all you need to know.

I don't have unlimited minutes. You hit it right on the head when you said 700 minutes. I have 2 phones, sharing 700 minutes, and I never go over. Lemme say it again: I have 2 phones...sharing 700 minutes (for YEARS), and never (NEVER!!) go over. Unlimited minutes means shyt to me. I don't care about that. Data though? Yeah, I care about data, and guess what? So do most ppl. And you know what? These cell companies know it. That's why the focus is there. They want you to fall for the "trick" of getting all this stuff for cheaper, when in reality you're paying more for the one thing you really want.


What's fukked up is I like VZW. I really do. I've been with them forever, and will probably never leave. But you're in here beating the drum like we're some narrow minded idiots. Well, sorry, but I don't fall into that category. The shared plans are a joke, and as long as i can, I'll never switch. I'll stay with my 700 minute, unlimited messages, unlimited data plan and be a happy camper.

New plans

Why not compare Unlimited talk and text right now with 2 gb of data ($120) to the new unlimited talk and text with 2 GB of data ($110) ??

Or unlimited talk and text with 5 GB of Data for $150 to the new unlimited talk and text with 4 GB for $120 ??

Or how about right now if you added a tablet to your plan it is a minimum $30 for 2 GB of data ?? When on June 28th you can add a tablet for $10

These plans MAY be good for some family plan people who use low data...

but it's a crock of shyt for me. I see your point of saving money but the majority of people I've spoken to that have VZW think this is BS too..

This is a bad plan and the future since there isn't really competition

They know that unlimited minutes/text aren't a big deal but that data is the real killer and they will make their money off that

Also it's true that most people use a few mb of data a month not everyone lives on their phones like we do

And btw Those bragging about being grandfathered remember Verizon no longer allows you to keep the plan once you move to another phone which we all know we will in the next year or 2
