hes right... most musicians are saying ths the greatest composed rap album of all time... and a lot of jazz artists even saying it featured the absolute best jazz composition we have heard in jazz music

it even resulted in herbie hanccok trying to work with ALL the artists involved in tpab, for him to make his own version of TPAB (but more jazzy).

and like dj quik said, you can have the argument that tpab is the greatest album to ever come out of the west coast (and hes talking about the past 70 years of west coast music). It goes way back

Production is god awful. YG is not a very impressive rapper, as he's pretty mediocre throughout whether it'd be in his actual rapping or storytelling. And really the "concept" of this album looks good on paper, but the way YG crafts it makes it tired, not engaging me in the slightest. Though, at the end of the day it's really the production that kills the album for me. I love west coast rap, but when its done right.

You can tell YG simply doesn't know anything about complex musical ideas.

People who've been listenin' to hip hop for the past 20 years have already talked about how this album is a mess and all over the place.

This album feels exactly how some people's opinion and views on some art work are. that all "art" is "great" or "genius" or "ground breakin". not all of it is, lol. This album is the proof that art can be trash.

There's only 1 good thing about this album: the mixing...but then again it was mixed by TDE's Ali.

wtf, I thought it was a demo :pachaha:the production sounds unfinished :deadmanny:

No wonder why this clown is flopping. Dude doing Young Thug numbers, except thug doesn't have half the promotion yg is getting :heh:

Your album is mixed by Ali, the guy who's probably widely praised as the new Dr Dre as far as mixing goes... you have all that promo, you have the most popular rapper of the last 6 years on your album (Drake), you work with the guy who helped Kendrick to craft his super acclaimed album.

He even paid Quik to talk about his album in a podcast... and he comes with that kind of product?

flop of the year, both commercially and quality wise :damn:

I copped it Sunday after hearing the projected sales were going to be low, but haven't listened to it in full yet. I don't usually buy music but I hate outsiders dictating our African music and social culture. So you can listen to Migos but not Yg. It also like Frayser Boy having a Grammy before Pac and Nas. Real West Coast and I'm from the soil.
