It would be much easier finding a good HC than a OC. Bears have a young rising defense, the #1 pick and #9, Fields and other weapons on offense.
That's a much easier sell than finding an OC that has no connection with Flus. They will probably have to give whoever it is some insurances that they'll be in line to be the next HC in the event things go South and Flus is let go.

I also dont really think flus is a lame duck coach. For whatever reason poles is putting a lot of faith in him and as such he is also tying his job to him imo. So I doubt his seat is very hot at all
