I don't think savior is the correct perspective. If he can be AS GOOD as Fields it’s a net positive as he is a rookie and you can spend that money elsewhere. Fields production is basically near the middle of the pack. It wouldn't be hard to replicate.

You do know that this year is the first season where the offensive talent around Justin was decent, put most qb’s with that line and wr talent That we had in the past and they gonna be middle of the pack or even worse This is not a plug and play type of team, line has gotten way better this year ,fyi I have no problem with drafting a qb, just stating that this team has been extra trash on offense other than this year ,

You crazy if you think he wouldnt bolt after miraculously finally playing like a top ten qb after the bears not giving him the 20 mil or so extension. Would be comically disrespectful.

If they keep justin theyll extend him if they dont they wont.

I get it folks got love for him but I cant really see how you look at his numbers, the actual games and go “yeah Im passing up on another qb when I already have my pick anyway”

You can take Williams and another high impact player in the 1st and also one with the fields trade pick. If he closed out this year going nuts the convo would be diff but its been more of the same. Its the best thing for him and the team to move on imo

He had some talent this year but hes gotten all his marquee games and stats against the literal worst defenses. 8 of his tds came in two games. He hasnt shown enough for a GM to saddle himself to him if they have the first pick. Hes too inconsistent so far.

Yall know Ive been a Fields stan for years but he simply aint that guy FOR THIS TEAM. He probs goes and balls elsewhere

Playing around the playoff machine. Yea I cant seem to find a way for the Bears to make the playoffs.

Packers/Vikings still get the 7th seed if they finish 8-9 as well Im sure there is still a way to technically make it though.

I'm not buying into hype at all. I've said multiple times IDC who they pick as long as we get an actual offensive mind for coaching.

I'm just viewing this from the most pragmatic/logical light from the GM's perspective. Fields isn't that bad but he also so far isn't that good so a rookie who could possibly be better would be a safe pick for a new GM because the floor isn't too hard to reach for any capable qb. If they do keep fields thats cool too because that means they should be surrounding him with talent and that will be fun to watch.

I doubt they spend a number one on mhj though
