I think that’s just him giving Justin respect, not necessarily he wouldn’t play for Chicago. Stroud said something similar at the combine

To be fair, I’ve seen a LOT of QBs make similar mistakes, but they have better overall teams, so it’s not talked about as much. However, damn near none of those QBs can do what he does aside from Lamar Jackson. Crazy that a QB is the best he’ll ever be in year 3…
Young QBs need to be supported.
From a roster construction/contract view it makes sense to trade Fields

I can count on the Bears ruining whoever they draft

From a contract standpoint, maybe. From a roster building standpoint, I think it makes more sense to trade down from that top pick. I feel like the package would be even greater than it was last year because this crop of QBs is perceived to be a better class than last season and teams will be desperate. Also, you’d likely won’t be trading down far because there are teams in the top 5 in need of a QB.

I'm really interested in seeing how they call plays and scheme around Justin next week vs Atlanta.

Don't be surprised if we see Justin featured differently in that game. This is one of the main teams that would trade from him this off-season.

Falcons shouldn’t trade for him because he’d be entering an offense and coaching staff similar to Chicago. Lack of creativity, complex offense, overbearing coaching staff with the difference being the HC (Arthur Smith) calling plays and a young QB (Ridder) who looked robotic and was error prone. Bringing Fields here would be repeating many of those same mistakes, which is why I wouldn’t be surprised if the Falcons decided to waste draft capital on a player they could’ve drafted outright a few seasons ago. Typical Falcons mismanagement

TBD

Heinicke’s on the 1st year of a team friendly 2 year 14 million deal. Ridder is going into his 3rd year of his rookie deal. If Arthur Smith stays, he’s gonna need to get a starting level QB in Free Agency or the draft and will keep 1 of those guys. If he’s fired they may start from scratch at the QB position. I hope Fields isn’t in the mix for us but given it’s the Falcons I’d fully expect us to go for him

Sunshine n em still playing for a playoff spot iirc. Anthers are dogshyt on the road. Lets get this 1st overall locked up next week :blessed:

Regardless of how you feel about the qb situation the bears are essentially a mid to high mid team with inconsistent dogshyt offense and coaching. Can them idiots and retool with 2! Blue chips and how we play Detroit already the divisuon is def up for grabs next year

wow … well fukk that then. give me Justin and let’s keep building. that’s wild

Yeah, I’ve been on the ā€œkeep Fields and draft MHJ insteadā€ train for awhile as well. Give me MHJ and the best ranked OL in the 1st round.
