Justin was never put in a situation to succeed. He finally got a #1 receiver this season, defense was completely gutted last year, and still ranks in the bottom 5 (was dead last a season ago). The multiple injuries, and people really expected him to win games? Everybody and their momma know the coaching has been idiotic. But hey, if you think we should draft a QB (yet again) with all the holes on this team because that'll fix everything
Quite a few QBs who are getting praised now make a bunch of mistakes, but they have a team around them to mask their issues.
my concerns with Justin have nothing to do with losing games, its specifically is related to his issues: holding the ball too long, missing open receivers, not getting through his progressions properly, slow release, slow with his footwork, doesnt make anticipation throws
do we really think Poles is going to risk his job rolling the dice Justin drastically improves here? a guy he didnt even draft? rookie QB contracts are gold in this league too, its so much easier to build a roster around a rookie QB deal - Poles isnt passing this up, especially if he thinks Caleb/Maye are the real deal
anyways, Justin is going to have a shot to make his case when he returns. The line is undoutedbly playing better, the running game is there
the BEST CASE scenario for this team is Justin showing enough to cement himself as the franchise QB - I dont WANT to start over with a new QB, but he needs to show more, regardless of the external factors. He looked horrible again in that first half against Minnesota, I really dont know what people here arent seeing with his massive limitations
