Basic Sheridan guide:

He's very strong when he writes what he knows and has some editorial oversight to keep him on task. See Hell or High Water or Sicario. When he veers away from what he knows, or has complete control because he's the entire engine propping up a streaming platform? It becomes power fantasy content or the absolute worst of r/menwritingwomen you've ever seen.

The suits are also largely to blame because they want everything nownownow. So Sheridan's working on multiple projects at the same time, inserting himself randomly into any or all of them, stretching the game out and tossing up C- and D-level content because hey, they'll eat it up anyway.

In fairness...watching the suits get fed the Texas two-step is the actual entertainment more than any:manny:

This worth the commitment due to the episodes i would have to run through?

I recently watched 1883, it started off very strong but when young girl love story took over i thought it took bit of a dive after a strong few episodes.
Go for it if you like fukkery. This is basically an R rated CBS drama but the highs are really high. Costner has some :wow: moments

First 3 seasons you should be entertained, after that my cosign is null and void and you're on your own:russ:

After the first part of the season ended, the expectation was that the final 5 episdoes would be John/Beth vs. Jamie. Costner leaves so the assumption is that John is killed off screen and the season is centered on Beth vs Jamie.

Instead we're not getting much on that, a ton of scenes focused on random characters talking about the importance of cowboys, spur makers, selling horses, and beef. Bunch of Beth and Rip hanging out drinking Three 6s vodka. Colby dies but the death's impact is muted because it's in the shadow of John's death.

A bunch of last episode was Taylor Sheridan sucking himself off, the fukk we need to spend half an episode focused on this minor character on how good he is at his job and how much he likes to party? Man got one of the Hadid sisters to guest star just so she could :ahh:over his horse riding.

Do we really need another 15 minutes dedicated to another concert?

We're supposed to believe Beth would break down and agree to play strip poker? Rip's crazy ass is cool with his boy propositioning his wife to do that?

For his importance in the final big storyline, Jamie isn't in this much.

My guess is Kacey's plan is to sell to the tribe who agrees to lease it back. Jamie kills himself and the show ends with McConaughey pulling up the the ranch like Lex Luger at the Mall of America.
Yes, cacs

Was listening to a Ringer podcast today and they were saying that was dead, right now it’s just The Madison with Michelle Pfeiffer and one set in Texas which may be this Beth and Rip show.
So is the 6666 spinoff still happening too(its in texas iirc)or has that been merged with the Beth/Rip show?

he must have just signed the Lioness deal when they asked him back for Kayce's vision quest.

The ranch would have been ran differently if he had still been alive.
