Drake has a ghostwriter so he's not qualified to battle mos. Period. What next, we gonna have Kanye versus Rakim?
.....drake will never be considered a goat MC because he's not an mc. He's an artist who has an entire team that helps him write and conduct his songs. We know for a fact he's had whole verses and choruses laid down for him. Drake is much closer to Diddy than he'll ever be to mos def.

The reason this one hurts drake is cause he really grew up on Mos. This isn't a peer. Mos is a god to him. And drake knows he could never question his credentials. Mos is considered a goat by actual goats. Regardless if he fell off after black on both sides. Mos's run in the late 90's was legendary. He was killing everyone he got on a track with. Drake(or his ghostwriters) could never in his life spit a verse like mos on Mathematics. His brain don't even work on that level. And deep down drake knows that. Drake refers to Mos as a king for a reason. And that's why this one stings him to his core.
I never understood what the actual truth was on the ghostwriter thing. How is he writing for others if he has a ghostwriter? Is someone penning ALL of his bars? Cause he's denied anyone writing those timestamp tracks. Which are some of the ones Id use in a versuz. If someone wrote everything then yea he's closer to Diddy. Im not even Drakes biggest fan. He's certainly not in my top 10 or 20. But hes in alot of peoples top 10. Kendrick, Cole and Drake are considered the GOATS of the 2010s. Not really debatable. So people are upset that a Man that made "Black Star" and "Black on Both Sides" feels Drake is more on the Popish side? Let me guess, now Mos catalog, skills and status in the game have been questioned to prop up Aubrey. Look. Mos is the better rapper. He's a better lyricist, has a better flow. I'd agrue he's a better singer and he's also a better actor too. Drake has him commercially but that's about it honestly. I've even enjoy Mos albums more because he takes artistic chances musically. Drake does not have an album better than "Black On Both Sides" or the original Black Star album. As for wither Mos is active or not. They did drop a new Black Star album though not everyone heard it. I did like the Westside Gunn track a few years ago. He does stuff here or there. Mos can have an opinion just like anyone else. Speaking of Hip Hop.
