:heh: @ Hal wanting to make more money through "cutting" payroll when they just sold 49% of YES for $2 BILLION.

it's about not spending more than you need to, not paying a penalty for no reason & more like standardizing the payroll.

get with it, breh. :smugdraper:

breh if you really beleive this :snoop: its all about money. george wouldnt care about paying no damn luxury tax if it meant winning

and tremont spare me the hamilton wouldve shyt himself in the offs, you know i dont believe in that nonsense

Tre has explicitly explained what's the mindset of the organization moving forward and you still want to sit here and argue.

What company line nikka? :wtf:

Why the fukk are you acting like 189 million is not enough? The problem is where the money is being allocated to, which a large portion of it is being used on A Rod, Tex, Jeter and CC. Why do you want to add more bloated contracts on top of the existing ones? You would rather pay Josh Hamilton or Greinke over Cano? Why don't you want the Yankees to accumulate assets through the draft?

nah I didnt want Grienke, but yes on Hamilton and to me that has nothing to do with Cano we should be able to sign both. not that i dont want to build through the draft but we arent the fukkin tampa rays, we should be in on every big free agent like we always have been, we arent frugal, were the yankees. if youre happy being the mutts and having a team raking in a billion a year in a sport with no salary cap rebuilding while still charging outrageous prices then good for you but Im not happy about turning into the Mutts

You're an idiot and don't know shyt about the intricacies of running a baseball organization. You sound like the idiots that Francesa chastises on a daily basis.

The Foundation of The Dynasty was built on the farm...

The Foundation of The Last Decade has been built on the checkbook...1 ring.

I don't want to be the Mets, which is exactly why there has to be a balance between managing the farm system and the bankroll to GET BACK to the dynasty.

The Mets are not spending money because they got swindled by Maddoff. It has nothing to do with frugality because once upon a time The Mets were right there is one of the top spenders.

breh rings are a playoff crap shoot, with the checkbook we were in the offs every year easily. thats all you can do.

also the whole 98 farm shiit is overblown. a lot of players came through trade or free agency. plus we were trash for years to even be able to draft those players. you wanna be trash for years ?

With $189 million, that'd still be the #1 payroll in MLB, I'm just sayin it can't all be free agents.

Do you really think the late 90s were lucky crap shoots? 4 rings in 5 years?! There's something to developing a farm system, bringing players up when their ready and WINNING world series year after year.

The payroll is an advantage to KEEP your farm talents too...with huge free agent signings you don't guarantee rings and you lose draft picks..

I'd rather pay big to keep a homegrown talent whose proven they can hack it in NY than pay big for a great smart market star who is 50/50 on whetever they can shine under the harsh and bright city lights.

i remember a few years ago the yankees went with the youth movement somewhat, phil hughes, joba then realized f growth and tossed it aside

im happy the yankees are bloated and decided to cut spending, thanks for the division schmucks

if georgie was alive he would have gone after grienke, would have gone after josh hamilton, a torrri hunter

letting russell go? :heh:
