I got the sous vide machine a couple years ago for christmas, but never used it. I can't get over the fact it takes like 2 hours to make a steak when I can make one in my cast iron in like ten minutes that's 🔥

I was also gifted a sous vide, i use it weekly. For making steaks and chops its unbeatable. I think is the perfect method for cooking pork chops.

For steaks the way the fat renders (esp ribeye) you cant get any other way.

Did a chuck roast in there for new years (131 for 36 hours) and ive never had anything that compares to it.

Experiment with it, i've cooked damn near everything with it. Veggies are a go too, look up some methods for corn on the cob.

a vacuum sealer. I bought mines off amazon for less than $25. also u gotta get bags as well. but the savings are immense and add up super quick. and if u got a deep freezer (I do not unfortunately) :ohlawd:

I bought this about a year ago, and since I buy pretty much all my meat/fish/chicken at sam's or costco, I seal them up individually after seasoning them when I buy it and then put them in individual shrink wrap bags.

not only does this keep the food fresh indefinitely, but it taste 1000% better if u don't eat your food immmediately.

I also use this for other foods like cheese especially since I grate all my own cheese by hand. shyt essentially never spoils. this also is clutch for bacon. I open the package, take a few pieces out and seal it.

u can also use it on bags of chips or tortillas. say I eat some tortillas, I just reseal the original bag with the machine. game changing :noah:

I also made some crab cakes from scratch 2 weeks ago. just put the mix in bag, and I can unthaw and make crab cakes on demand :whew:
No lies told. Total game changer

shyts good.

Clutch u mentioned cheese. Thought I'm the only one that does that. The pre shredded cheese has a bunch of nasty shyt it it...

yeah, pre shredded has chemicals in it. the block cheese not only taste better, but it melts better as well. I NEVER buy shredded cheese. plus it's more expensive.

one thing stopping me is I don't have a big plastic container to hold the water? can I use a BIG ASS pot instead? I do have that.
