Nobody in Charlotte compares Charlotte to Atlanta. Atlanta cats are more likely to make that comparison.

I prefer Charlotte, tho. The traffic and pretentiousness of Atlanta is not my steez. Job market ain't all that either.

If I was some 6'3" popular ass ex D-1 athlete, ATL would be the lick. But as a regular dude, even in my youth, I didn't feel like it was as great as people made it out to be.

I'll take Chicago over Atlanta any day. Just as many black folk, without the uppityness.

Ah wow...very interesting take on ATL especially the pretentiousness I have heard mentioned before from other black folk.

dallas is the goat american city how many times must I say it

Not even close.

Dallas should cut Jerry Jones a check for life for keeping the city on the map from a cultural standpoint.

Without Jerry, I’m not sure what Dallas would be.

I don't think any place can every become Atlanta, especially not Texas, as a houstonian, we have too many Mexicans, Asians, and "others".

But everytime I go to Atlanta I always hear people discussing moving to Texas/Memphis/North Carolina to "settle down and start a family", mostly women.

Maybe Charlotte can become like Atlanta in the sense of it being a black economic hub, but it's not gonna replace Atlanta as the center of black entertainment and culture.

I think what you’ll see is a triangle form among Atlanta, Charlotte and Nashville.

Nashville will have the rustic vibe for cacs.

Charlotte will be the suited and booted corporate vibe due to being a finance hub.

Atlanta will be the tech and entertainment hub. But, I do think Black cultural influence will reduce in Atlanta as it becomes more of a tech hub. Midtown’s influence will continue to grow. And that’s not even including the potential Amazon factor.

I hate to say it but this true.

The Cowboys kept the city of Dallas relevant.

And there are studies that has proved this if you think I'm bullshytting. :yeshrug:

NEG OP for making this same exact thread for the 10000X. :what:

Dallas is a boring place, idk why y'all keep on hyping it. constant construction, terrible water, and no scene. You could pick any other major city in TX, and be in much greater place. Charlotte and Raliegh are cool places to hang, hell I'll even say a better place for your family but ATL overall is better.

Charlotte's infrastructure won't allow it to compete with any major city.

They've already overbuilt in Uptown and are pricing the middle class out of the city.
Man they’re growing apartments lie trees up in there lol. I’m glad I moved about 20 miles north because I probably wouldn’t have a place to stay if I lived in the city lol. I fukk with Charlotte though cause it’s just right... it’s not too big that it’s hard to get around, yet it’s not too small where nothing goes on. There’s a lot of black folks making moves in Charlotte and it’s a little more progressive than you would think.

I came back after a year and a half to so much construction along South Boulevard it was ridiculous. Two lane cramped streets but you have these giant apartments complexes towering over the street then on the other side you still have tiny gas stations and small businesses that don’t go together.

Used to love going to Food Truck Friday but it got moved and the lot was being turned into apartments right next to Price’s Chicken.

correct me if i'm wrong but yellow is primarily mexican folk, green is primarily black folk. Mexican really sowed up West Oak Cliff, West Dallas, East Dallas, Pleasant Grove, and Garland. Black folks got East Oak Cliff, South Dallas, Desoto, and Lancaster but Mexicans are making their way into those parts too. Mexicans really came thru that border in numbers

Yeah I moved here right before they fukked up that area and moved stopped food truck friday. It started back up but I haven't been yet. Man it's crazy trying to get around that city sometimes smh especially on I-77 during rush hour. They're just throwing up apartments anywhere and kicking black folks out of places smh. I hope the city steps in to stop getting rid of the more affordable apartments. They're just putting up huge apartment buildings next to corner stores and shyt. It's getting ridiculous.

Dude I was off Tuckasegee for a year and a half and almost every person I met threw that “lil ATL” shyt out there. “Oh you’re from the A? you know we the the Lil A”. This ain’t hyperbole for the net, I legit heard that shyt damn near weekly. Even heard it on the radio. I wasn’t out in Rock Hill or Gastonia, I was smack dab in the middle of the city. I could see BOA stadium from my back porch and was all over from Clanton Rd to Beatties Ford. The times I heard that up there ain’t no one off, I’m sure you’ve heard it too

Houston always seemed like the twin of Atlanta. The nightlife is popping, bad ass women, decent standard of living, and plenty of industry to make money.
