I guess it depends on where you're from. Being from Atlanta, going to NC or Dallas is a serious downgrade. Dallas' young black professional scene is so trash. I went out a few times with my ex and it was :scust: worthy. Now she's dying to move back to ATL... figures. :ehh:

I'm not going to even waste time talking about Charlotte or Raleigh. :mjlol:

I heard Deep Ellum heavy on that :mjpls: tho breh. Heard its a bar out there called Trailer Park or Double Wide or some shyt like that thats know for attracting racist bikers. Never been to Dallas but my homie lived out there for a while doing security in clubs and he mentioned that area you talking about being a heavy duty hangout for yuppie Cacs and to a lesser extent racist biker gangs, whuch he also said are all over Texas. I see you boosting them Cacs spots up, but where do the brehs hang out?

It depends on that and where you’re at in life too. Like I understand why brehs move to the Carolinas, it really is good if you got a family and want to build. Not familiar with Texas like that but I’m sure it’s something attracting brehs out there too. At the end of the day all these spots got good qualities, just gotta look past the homer shyt from the locals and look in the mirror and see what fits your lifestyle. Cuz they all very different at the end of the day. Like if you would’ve asked me 3 years ago what I thought about Carolina I’d have a different answer, but today I understand what it was/is and I actually appreciate it for that.

Naw breh. :mjpls:

Highland Park is it own city.:mjpls:

Dallas CAC were able to establish their own city in the dead middle of Dallas. :mjpls:

I've never seen that in any other city. :mjlol:

The Southern sector of Dallas county is turning into the new Oak Cliff.

This whole Desoto and Cedar Hill shyt is a joke.:mjlol:

Dallas taxpayers, including nikkas, were also paying taxes for the Dallas Country Club in Highland Park. A club they were barred from membership to on some blatant :mjpls: shyt.

This was in the 2000s, not the 1950s!

Most bigger southern cities have ONE of TWO traits (sometimes both):

1.) A decent HBCU nearby

2.) A population that's mostly split black/white

Dallas is pretty evenly split between black/Latino/white and the closet HBCU is (or was) the poorly regarded Paul Quinn college. It's not an easy city to gain traction because the Mexicans have their needs, blacks have theirs and whites got goals.

"Regular" white people aren't as common in Dallas (city only NOT burbs). Whites living in Dallas usually make bank and have crazy juice and pull (Highland Park, Preston Hollow, the Jews near these areas etc.).

Blacks in Dallas are more spread out and vary a lot more in terms of income. Mexicans took over DISD because blacks moved as far north as Frisco and as far south as DeSoto. Whites in Plano. Southlake etc., a lot of them aint even from here and bring their bullshyt with them. They don't have as much juice as the good ol boy that has a membership to Dallas Country Club and lives on Boedeker in HP.

Dallas just has jobs. Without the jobs there, people would rarely choose Dallas as a place to relocate. People usually relocate there because of a job, not because they have this desire to move to Dallas!

Whereas people move to New York, LA, Atlanta, Miami, etc. just because.

No one moves anywhere just because. When people randomly move to la or ny or mia it's to break into a specific entertainment industry.

Yes. You hear people moving to certain cities to follow a dream or pursue some other aspiration.

People tend to move to Dallas because a job brought them there or a job opportunity presents itself there.

True but I've lived in Chicago, Iowa, Spain, and LA all in the past 5 years... with extensive travel to Dallas during that time as well. I just got back to Atlanta and there's nothing like it.
