You're spoiling people's fun. They want to make posts and threads about the "weird" food that others eat, while there are posts of them on the site talking about enjoying hog.
From what I read, it was the unsanitary practices in markets that lead to the recent pandemic and not necessarily the types of foods that people eat in a certain region of the world.
Unsanitary practices here lead to small outbreaks and IMMEDIATE recalls of food products, so it's easier to keep a lid on those types of things here.

i'm sure i've heard of several animals where eating them would lead to being poisoned/death before this corona stuff...a snake, a fish, i think even an octopus. on top of that, there are also poisonous plants people shouldn't eat
