I get fukked up with the Impala/Caprice badge around 77 78. That's when they went to the new platform... I got it... I thought the big body Chevelle started in 74... I meant to say Chevelle 454 SS, not Impala. 71-76 sounds right. I was probably about 2 beers in at the time, by bad.

impalas/caprice were big bodys from 65-76 sedans and coupes. 77 and onward they were downsized. I got a 77 impala coupe right now .
They might be but not command as much as the 427 optioned ones

I had an 84 coupe I bought as a project, but after tearing into it was too far gone, floor pans rusted out and shyt. I didn’t wanna deal with all that so I sold it.
