I would say worf and picard had arcs. Everyone else stayed the same.

Nah I think character grew but maybe not by modern standards. They could not do those types of things unless they wrote people out the show lol.

Picqrd really doesn't have that much of a Arc tho. He gets assimilated by the Borg, then rescued. That was a 2 part episode. Then the very next episode he returns to earth and grapples with the aftermath. That's just 3 episodes where it's a main part of the story.

AFTER that it's barely mentioned at all, and is not relevant to his Arc at all. He goes back to the same person he was before. That shyt isn't even mentioned in the last 2 seasons

Doggie I've watched tng front to back a half dozen times. I know the exact scenes you're referring to and you're wrong. He NEVER says he can't stand children. What he does say however is....

At no point after this does he become a family man. He has a incident where he's stuck with 3 kids. You could argue that shows his Arc, but I'd say.. that's just one incident, at no point does picard process profound love and admiration for children in the whole series

It's been a while since I've watched it but he was pretty short and abrasive with Riker and the crew. More of an authoritative captain.

His dialogue and interactions soften after.

Show me one example. I feel like he'l pretty much treats everyone the same throughout the series. I've watched the first season on DVD countless time. I can't name one instance of him being short or rude in it.
