Honestly, white people only care about injustice when it happens to other white people. That's why I see all of these supposed white feminists championing the rights of white bisexuals, cis-genders, transgenders, gays, lesbians, victims of injustice and reduce the plight of black people and people of color to a talking point for "respect points" from other white people. The same type of people that love someone like Tim Wise but hate when a black person says the same thing (because we've been saying the same thing for years) because of their latent racism and reduce it to "complaining" and "making excuses".
The same type of white people that can go watch "12 Years A Slave" and learn absolutely nothing.

I might type up a lil' overview of the movement for tumblr. I forget who had the memes with the black bar on the bottom that just said #inherently but I think I have it bookmarked. I'm down for an open dialogue about race and I believe that is the true purpose behind this. Personally, my main point is not that white people have done horrible things, it's that they try to act like it didn't happen.
