the way it's been spreading so far is by posters who make threads detailing the atrocities they've done to Blacks around the world, I've learned stuff here on Coli that was NEVER mentioned in school nor by anyone in my friends or family.

it'll spread organically, unless someone from Complex or Noisey decides to write an article about it, it's not like they haven't made money stealing our content and turning it into articles before.

Just one thing: I'm fairly sure you guys already saw how offensive this can come across as to some people. And this is on the coli, a predominantly black and non-formal place where you can get away with saying a bunch of stuff. If you guys are talking about expanding the movement to twitter and other places, you better be ready for a lot of criticism and offended people lashing back.

I think A LOT of it is helped by having black admins.

A lot of other sites are too easy to try and be PC or are run by non-minorities.

Yeah, you right. I notice they try to silence that stuff on some of those sites. I don't think that's a good thing...It just shows they can't handle those conversations and rather than faciliate an open space where people can have a civil discussion on social problems such as racism (not really sexism or homophobia...it's ALWAYS racism...that topic makes people the most uncomfortable IMO) they try to squash the development of those discussion altogether. I think that displays cowardice...and dare I say it...encourages racism. As if we aren't mature or educated enough to have civil discussions on those issues without name calling or some sort of malice behind the words that are said.

When has social injustice ever been cool to promote? The fact that people still feel a certain way about it certainly negates the existence of this mythical "post-racial period" we are apparently in because "we have a black president".

because their idea of post racial consists of Black people suffering in silence. as long as they don't have to hear about the injustices Black people face, it simply doesn't exist to them.
