I posted in another thread about air fryers in january.

For the most part I work overnight and a long time ago someone saw the air fryer on an infomercial and we were all like :comeon:. Someone ended up copping for free at Walmart and we used it for shyts and giggles, but it's really :ehh:. I wouldn't own one in my house and I don't believe food tastes any better but it gets fries, chicken taquitos, and other shyt crispy without oil. :yeshrug: it definitely works.

We have an extra long table that has like 6 outlets on it and coworkers just plug in crock pots daily and nightly breh. An oven just ain't convenient especially at a job. At my job most people spend more time working than seeing their own families so we cook and eat home cooked food every day.

Edit:
Ima cop one in a few months. Theres a brand of frozen fried ravioli's, we made them shyts at the job a couple weeks back and they were fire!

Fries are good, fish is good, chicken is good, definitely buying one and throwing my deep fryer out. (We have a large pot that we can throw grease into and boil on the stove.

Bruh, I make fries all the time in my air fryer. I cut up the potatoes, put them in a bowl, a table spoon or two of oil in the same bowl, use my fingers to rub the oil on the potatoes, season them then throw them in the air fryer.

They won't come out as good as deep frying, but they'll come out better the more u make 'em. Gotta make sure u oil them up or they will be dry as hell in the air fryer.

:salute:Give thanks, Breh.

I don't even think restaurants fry 20 wings at a time breh...they usually have multiple fryers and cook in batches.

Anyway we just got an air fryer at the crib :mjlit:

@Cat piss martini

You ever fry marinated chicken tenders? :patrice:

I rubbed them down , poured some marinade on them..figured I'd pat then down with a paper towel then air fry them jawns :steviej:

Just made some frozen tater tots...

-PREHEAT the fryer atleast 5mins
-poured a little olive oil on them
-seasoned with smokehouse maple and old bay seasoning
-put in the fryer for 390F at 10mins

After 10mins they were crispy..but a little softer...added 3more mins and :ohlawd:

giphy.gif

-No more standing by the oil getting popped by grease
-Less FAT
-No house smelling like fried oil
-No having to find a container to pour the used oil in
:banderas:

Finna be making all types of ish in this bish!!:wow:

How much does a large air fryer run?

Something u can put like 20 wings in

I have a pretty big 6 quart one and if they're ok size you can get like 15 or so wings in at a time. You can't pile them up crazy or it takes longer, so i just do two batches. I paid about $100 for it. These aren't breaded, just seasoned, came out crispy like I threw them on the grill.

Lmfao...outside of a big ass restaurant, who tf frying 20 wangs at once :russ::laff:

I never cook less than 20 wings. 400 25 mins and I shake them every 5 mins. Trust me I've done my trial and error.

I use mine everyday.
How easy/hard is the cleanup with these?

Clean up is a breeze. It's typically just crumbs or maybe some fat or juice that drips out.

For instance I'll do bagged fries and tater tots. Those leave behind some crumbs at the bottom. Like not even a tablespoons worth of crumbs.

When I do chicken. There's a little puddle of fat that has dropped down...not a lot.

If it's just crumbs I'll empty it out over the disposal or sink. If it's grease I'll wipe it out with a dish towel or sometimes just a dab of dish soap and spray it down.

I have the 10qt model so it's no more difficult than cleaning out a pot.

I put bacon and sausage in the hoe. No flipping like 8 mins 375. Done. Crispy, juicy. I make French toast, grilled cheese, fried ravioli, fries, tater tots, chicken wings, chicken breast, I've even made burgers. I make garlic bread or garlic cheese bread, did a whole chicken on the rotisserie setting. Did some Cornish hens....
