Me and my wife were at the Sams Club not too far from where we lived a couple of years ago and were browsing over some shyt in the electronics section. This black DirecTV rep comes over and asks us about our tv service, yada yada and shyt. While talking to him for just 10 seconds, he immediately asks me "Where you from?". I said I live in Tyrone and shyt, but he was like
"NAH, where you FROM?" I'm looking at this nikka like
, but I reply that I'm from Charleston SC (my wife as well). He was like, "Yeah, I know, I could tell from your accent". Now my wife and I's geechie accent isn't heavy at all but he immediately picked up on it (pretty amazing honestly considering I've been accused from being from a variety of areas around the country). Anyway, we start talkin about life and shyt back home compared to the A and where we went to high school and shyt. Apparently this cat's cousins (1st) went to school with us in high school. Just crazy shyt.
He then tells us of a story where this older white couple came into the Sams and he was trying to get them to cop DTV. The lady notices the cat's last name is Seabrook and replies that it was her maiden name and she also grew up in the Charleston Area. He immediately replied to her that her great grandfather's name was William Seabrook or some shyt and she was stunned asking him how he knew. He told her that basically his family was from her great grandfather's plantation and shyt. He said that woman was so stunned to the point that she immediately cried and hugged him. As crazy as it was, they were pretty much family. A very crazy and surreal experience for both of them he said. Talk about coincidence of them running into each other.
He said she and her husband copped the highest package from DTV that day on contract. She even keeps up with him and shyt
