I don't think MBDTF is a classic album either. It's a dope album, but extremely overhyped. Big Boi's Sir Lucious Left Foot also received a lot of love from critics, and that wasn't classic either. It is arguably better than MBDTF though.

Every Classic album is not a 5 mic album or XXL. It's all relative, a lot of 4 and 4 and a half mics albums are still classics or near classics. It's just the overall quality of music has gotten so low, that we elevated very good/great albums in the past to classic status. Back in the day, if you got 4 mics or above, you still put out a very good album.
