Eh. 2 different shows and 2 different vibes. Invincible is actually a deconstruction of the Superhero comic.
X-Men has around 40 years more history and at its heart is character study x stand in for civil rights era racism and xenophobia.
somebody making sense. but u got king ghidorah in the avi, so i expect nothing less
Not to mention, ep 5 of x-men simply used the same tropes of
shock value deaths that we already saw Invincible use 3 years ago. The weight of it is a bit different/varies bc Invincible has dense 1 hour eps to introduce multiple characters and plotpoints before the trauma porn hits. X-Men has dense 30-minute episodes reliant on us remembering the character cliff notes from 30 years ago to get us through the plotpoints.
Take ep 4, the first storyline (Julibee/Roberto) had ok pacing and you could just typecast
Mojo as generic villain of the week (if you never watched the 1992 show) and not feel impeded. The 2nd part (Storm/Forge) was bad pacing; way too rushed and reliant on you knowing their comic canoncial history to 'accept' how fast it developed. With Invincible there's more breathing room, but it can cause the opposite effect where shyt drags out for too long.
