I'm on Chapter 10. Probably going to beat the game just to end the story but there's a ton of stuff I still got left to do.

Also Jin turns out to be a dope ass character.

Every battle has been easy to me except for the first Malos and Akhos fight chapter 3 lol

I just beat chapter 9 at level 63.

This game is much easier ....once you learn the combat and take advantage of combos, elements, chain attacks etc.

Ok, this is a mild spoiler but no the games are not like Final Fantasy. There is a connection. It's more you'll understand some things more clearly if you played XC1.
Like if you played the first game you'll have some moments

I am level 69 but do you think I should level up any higher to beat it?

The final chapter is a cutscene and a boss fight. Your level is fine. If you put 4-5 elemental gems on the last boss and do a full burst it's a cake walk.
