I literally just checked and a 500GB Xbox One S is $100 to trade in at Gamestop.50 for a one s, 100 for a one x
That’s a killer deal
1440P to 4K upscaling, the same things PS4 Pro got trashed for is...being praised 4 years later.

So what? 349$CAD?
It's a cheap gateway into next gen, perfect if you have kids that want the new console but you aren't trying to spend $500 on one gift this holiday. Nintendo's market basically. It's basically a custom built gaming machine that focuses on gameplay rather than resolution.
Breh, the demographic you described, has had plenty of time to buy a One S or an X at the same or lower price point for several months now. Everyone’s been home since March, whatever market there was for casual gamers has been exhausted, who’s this mystery parent who’s been biding their time since corona started, waiting until November to buy a “next gen” console that isn’t even next gen? You say they don’t care about 4k, but they care about RDNA2? And casual gamers can easily get a One X for $200 on Swappa or a One S for $100It's a cheap gateway into next gen, perfect if you have kids that want the new console but you aren't trying to spend $500 on one gift this holiday. I was always gonna get a ps5, but this would be great for my 9 year old and he's not gonna give a damn about no 1440p vs 4k.
Series s is going for that secondary console spot even if ps5 ends up being more popular than the series x, it's a great strategy.

You dumb nikka, on the one hand you claim that parents are being harassed by their kids to get the system of their (the kid’s) choice, and on the other hand the parents are magically choosing to get the dipshyt weaker Series S of their own volition? And the kids are happy with that decision? Use your brainsnikka, parents hear "playstation" and "xbox" all year until November hits.
At that point, they on some, "wait... playstation? What number they up to?" "The nikka asked for an Xbox, aunt there just one?"
What parents you know are already working up their kid's Christmas lists in September?
FOH.
This system is perfect for them when they are scrambling, especially post focus.
